Recently I bought my first car, 08’ accord coupe in white exterior, but the most exciting thing has turned out to be the biggest trouble to me now.
The reason that I was buying the car is because it saves my time and convenience. However, there were more unexpected problems coming out lately. Whether when I am coming to school in the morning or when I going back home at night, I have to take a lot more time to find a parking space than just take the subway. Plus the traffic jam, which seems to happen every day, I actually end up at spending even more time every day.
Since I am in love with my car, I pay a lot more attention to it. Because the exterior is white, it makes my car always needed to wash, and then I am spending more time and money on cleaning and maintaining.
By the way, the cost of owning a car is a lot to me. The insurance cost, gasoline, parking and toll fees, all of them are extra cost on me. Money is another big issue to me since am paying rent and tuition by myself.
I also want to mention the most ridiculous thing that was happened two days ago. My car was hit by a minivan in a parking lot at Flushing, Queens. It took almost 3 hours for the police to come, the waiting time and the scratches of my car hurt my feeling. Now I am waiting for my car to be repaired and repainted.

That is exactly why I don't own a car!!! I feel bad for you because I know everyone wants the convenience, but we live in the city and it's just not worth it. Sorry to hear that, just switch it up and take the train to school sometimes you see the difference in your wallet since gas is crazy expensive!! Besides, you wont have to worry about paying meters or getting a ticket since the cops are always looking to give them out. It's difficult managing your wallet, so we got to sacrifice a little bit to live with that luxury. good luck.
